Geneva International Motor Show 2024
With this week’s event scheduled from 26 February to 3 March 2024, Geneva International Motor Show is back on the map of the world’s major automotive shows.
After the previous edition held in Qatar, Geneva International Motor Show returns to its Swiss roots. This year’s exhibition is dominated by the Chinese contestants. Both BYD and MG are showcasing several brands. The European auto industry is represented by Renault and Pininfarina. While the California-based Lucid Motors stands the ground for the American OEMs.
The event’s highlight was The Car of the Year 2024 ceremony which opened the Press Day. The honors went to Renault Scenic E-Tech thanks to 329 votes. Other finalists were BMW 5-series, Volvo EX30, Kia EV9, Peugeot E-3008/3088, Toyota C-HR, and the BYD Seal — for the first time the Chinese automaker made the final cut. During the VIP Day, WIONET Poland was represented by Maciej Gasiorkiewicz and Uwe Hannes.
